  1. I Brief

A capable product that had aged badly

ProfitDig already had a working system, but it had grown outdated — and for a bidding platform that hurts, because contractors need to build estimates quickly and accurately. A slow or confusing workflow directly changes how (and whether) they use the product.

    • Old interface and confusing, friction-prone workflows
    • Outdated product structure and performance issues
    • Workflows that invited user mistakes
    • An ongoing need for maintenance and product improvement
  2. II Build

    What we built

We rebuilt the system with a modern, intuitive UI, improved workflows, new features, better performance, and ongoing maintenance — without losing the depth contractors need for estimating, bidding, and job costing.

    • Full system rebuild with a modern UI/UX
    • Improved bidding and job-costing workflows
    • Performance optimization across the SaaS
    • New feature development and ongoing maintenance
    • A new digital takeoff feature
  3. III Highlight

    The digital takeoff

The digital takeoff was the most complex piece. In construction, takeoff means working with plans, measurements, quantities, materials, and cost calculations — so building it digitally meant supporting accuracy, usability, and speed at once. It moved the platform beyond basic estimating screens and closer to the real-world process contractors use before they bid.

  4. IV Outcome

A stronger product, and a partnership

Across a multi-year partnership we shipped two major revisions and modernized an aging SaaS. When the work was done, ProfitDig was confident enough to bring development back in-house on a modern Laravel and React stack — a clean handover that’s its own kind of success.

    • Modernized, more intuitive product experience
    • Cleaner workflows and better platform performance
    • Easier bidding and job-costing for contractors
    • Advanced digital takeoff capability added
    • A multi-year partnership across two major product revisions
In their words
The application is now new, modern — Laravel + React, hosted in Laravel Cloud — fast, and more feature rich. We’re happy with the support and productivity we’ve received… Recommended to others.
